"This is a coded computer listing of all Dutch Nationals arriving in the United States in the years 1820-1880 arranged alphabetically by surname as contained in the National Archives Customs Passenger Lists of ships arriving at Atlantic and Gulf Coast Ports" (quoted from the Introduction). These ports include Baltimore, Boston, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia and "certain minor ports." A total of approximately 55,000 names are listed, taken from 100,000 passenger lists. Each listing includes name, relationship within the family, sex, age, occupation, destination, country of origin, vessel, port of embarkation, on board accommodation, and port of arrival.
